Infant/toddler child care consultation services for licensed child care providers is available in Ferry, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, Spokane, Stevens, Whitman and eastern Adams counties.

SERVICES PROVIDED

1. Targeted coaching and consultation to infant and toddler child care early learning professionals around quality improvement supports for EA rating readiness.
2. Infant mental health consultation to support positive social and emotional development of children.
3. Filming Interactions to Nurture Development (FIND).
4. Provide developmental screening training and support. 

The Infant and Toddler Child Care Coaching provides these supports through:

  • Nurturing positive social and emotional development of children
  • Provide resources to the teachers and directors around community resources
  • Support around developmental screening
  • Consultation with teachers regarding children with identified special needs
  • Empowering teachers to utilize strategies in the classroom that support all children

ELIGIBILITY

Are you a licensed infant and toddler child care provider who accepts "Working Connections" subsidies? If so, you are eligible for free infant/toddler child care consultation.

HOW TO ACCESS

  • Are you looking for ideas to support your child care program?
  • Do you wish that you had someone who could offer ideas on curriculum or guidance strategies?
  • Do you struggle when it comes to arranging classroom and outdoor spaces?
  • Do you have questions regarding business practices or program policies and procedures?

FREE child care consultation is available to improve the quality of care for infants and toddlers in licensed family home and licensed child care settings in Northeast Washington.

There are multiple ways that you can access child care consultation services.

  • You can contact your local Child Care Aware of Eastern Washington
  • You can also be referred through the Department of Early Learning (DEL) child care licensing or by your Early Achievers technical assistance coach

Once you contact us, we will gather basic information on your infant/toddler consultation needs. Then, a consultant will visit your center or family child care home to provide consultation services.

Through this project, you may be eligible for up to 10.5 hours of FREE consultation services from a local, experienced consultant.
