Lorraine Holokai, a NEWESD 101 Community Prevention & Wellness Initiative Coordinator, accepted the 2023 Agency of the Year Award for the NorthEast Support Team-NEST Coalition from the Northeast Community Center ZONE. This honor was in recognition of the coalition's exceptional service to the Hillyard community.
NEST is one of the ESD's eight Community Prevention & Wellness Initiative coalitions. Comprised of community and school-based partnerships, the coalitions deliver prevention programs and strategies focused on reducing underage use of alcohol, marijuana, tobacco and other drugs in communities across Spokane and rural northeast Washington.
