Basic: District-wide membership

For districts that only need phone support, consulting or additonal assistance with product research, we offer a Basic Services option. This option is recommended for any district. Basic members also receive discounts on other available services, when needed.

Basic membership per district...........$ 840
The basic services package includes unlimited technical support by phone or email on an as-available basis by one of our technology services staff.

We will respond to your call, voicemail or email request within 24 hours, although the average turn-around time is generally much shorter. Because our staff have regular, on-site hours for a number of districts who buy additional support time, they are not always in the office for an immediate call or support request.

Remote Support Services:
Add-ons to Basic Membership

Basic membership does not include remote, online or hands-on support. If you would like to add any of the following remote support areas to your basic membership, please contact the IT department at 509.323-2780 for more information and pricing.

  • Email server and spam filter remote support - up to 16 hours per year
  • General server remote support - up to 16 hours per year
  • Firewall remote support - unlimited
  • Existing district-based backup services and support - includes assistance with set-up upon request.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We realize that not all support issues can be successfully solved remotely or that they require an on-site service visit. Technicians will evaluate the problem and work with the district technology coordinator to solve the problem remotely whenever possible or determine the best course of action in order to resolve issues. If an onsite visit is required, the daily rate will be reduced to $500 for NSC members that have subscribed to any of the add-on services.


Additional services and support
Districts can enhance their membership services package by purchasing additional, on-site support time for assistance with network management or desktop support, targeted technology training or tech planning services, additional assistance with setting up a Microsoft IT Academy, Web site phone and online support, or consulting on other technology related projects. If emergency assistance is needed, the district will be billed at the daily rate for services rendered.

Ad hoc, daily rate NSC members.....$ 710. per day
Ad hoc, daily rate non-members......$ 872. per day

If emergency support is requested, the district will be billed at the daily rate for any services rendered.

Onsite Support Packages

Districts receive a discount for subscribing to regular on-site support. These packages include a 10 month service period -- mid-August through mid-June -- unless otherwise noted. In addition to the on-site support, the packages include unlimited phone and online support, as well as remote monitoring of network connections. Onsite support packages include the Basic Membership fee and all travel expenses. Contact NEWESD's IT Services Department at (509) 323-2780, for more information and package pricing.

TARGET AUDIENCE: These packages are designed for the small to mid-sized district without a full-time technology coordinator.


Half-day per week

This is equivalent to 40 on-site visits, but is only available to districts within 90-mile round-trip travel distance.


2 days per month

This is the equivalent of 20 days of onsite service during the school year.


1 day per week

This is the equivalent of 40 days of service. In addition, we will provide 3 days of additional support in the summer to help with upgrades and server maintenance, and provide support for critical network failures at no additional charge.


2 days per week

This is the equivalent of 80 days of service during the school year. In addition, we will provide 5 days of additional support in the summer to help with upgrades and server maintenance, and provide support for critical network failures at no additional charge.

NOTE: Daily rates are based on a standard 6-hour, on-site workday with no additional charges for travel time. Depending upon the critical nature of issues and services being provided, technicians may occasionally remain on-site up to a maximum of 10 consecutive hours without additional charges.

Days included in support packages will vary based on the needs and services being provided. In most cases, they will be 6-7 hours in length, in order to provide comprehensive support.
